Happy New Year!!!! Wow! It is exciting to note that a new year is upon us! At VOMÉ, we are proclaiming 2018 AS THE Year of the Youth! The idea for this youth-inspired edition was actually conceived by my 18 year old son, Femi Ka- reem. He felt like there was a strong need for the youth to be highlighted in a positive light, he felt that there was a great divide in our communities when it comes to the youth. He emphasized some of the needs of the youth, which are to be heard, seen, acknowledged. Our goal is to shift focus from the all-too-popular negativity surrounding the youth, which is deeply highlighted in mainstream and social media and to put a positive light on the amazing things been done in the community by the youth.
